Today we announced that Amway Global will be the Presenting Sponsor of Tina Turner's 2008 North American tour, which kicks off October 1 in Kansas City.

You'll soon see "Amway Global Presents Tina Live in Concert" appearing at the tour web site and in other promotions for the tour.  The complete announcement is available at the Quixtar Newsroom and below.

This is yet another investment, like our advertising program, in building our brands to support IBO recruiting and retailing efforts.

AMWAY GLOBAL TO BE PRESENTING SPONSOR OF
"TINA TURNER LIVE IN CONCERT" 2008 NORTH AMERICAN TOUR

Sponsorship is part of larger brand-building campaign for Amway Global

ADA, Mich., July 10, 2008 - Amway Global today announced that it will be the Presenting Sponsor for legendary, Grammy-winning singer Tina Turner's upcoming North American tour, promoted nationally by AEG Live. "Amway Global Presents Tina Turner Live in Concert" will span at least 36 concerts in more than 20 U.S. and Canadian cities, beginning October 1 in Kansas City. This will be the first tour in eight years for Turner, an eight-time Grammy winner with seven top-10 singles who has sold nearly 200 million albums.

As presenting sponsor, the Amway Global name will appear on tickets, advertisements, and signage at all North American concert venues.

"We are thrilled to be associated with an artist of such high caliber and broad appeal as Ms. Turner," says Steve Lieberman, Amway Global's Managing Director. "A rock tour is not what most people would expect from Amway Global and that's the whole point. There are so many things people don't realize about our business, like the fact that we're the number one online health and beauty retailer. Sponsoring Tina Turner's fall tour is just one example of how we are stepping up our efforts to build awareness for our business and who we are today."

The sponsorship is part of a larger Amway Global investment to help raise public awareness of its business, opportunity, and products in North America. The company currently operates as Quixtar North America/Amway Global but is transitioning to the Amway Global name by 2009. To support this brand transition and also build awareness for the company's flagship Nutrilite vitamin and supplement brand and Artistry skin care and cosmetics brands, the company is investing in a multi-million dollar advertising campaign and high-profile sponsorships, such as the Tina Turner tour.

A recording artist for more than 40 years, Tina Turner appeals to music fans across generations and has career longevity that is rare in any industry, especially the music business. Her concerts are typically sellouts, which is why she has sold more concert tickets than any other solo performer in history.

I wonder if you told Tina before she agreed to this marriage about the tool scam corruption and the American Scam allegations? Maybe she has been fooled into believing Amway Globule isn't her Ike's Amway. May Ike rest in peace.

This is SO cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Tapping in to Tina Turner's very broad, multi-generational, fan base. Brilliant. First show is already sold out. The next three are in my neck of the woods--Chicago!

I think this is a great idea for creating more exposure and awarenss about the Amway Global brand. The more the public sees Amway Global, the more comfortable they'll be about the name. So far I've seen incredible results and feedback from people in and out of the business in regards to the ad campaign.

I was pretty surprised to see that Tina won't be playing at the VanAndel arena in GR.

How awesome is this?! Amway Global is getting out there more and more. Huge things are on the horizon for this company and it's IBO's. I can't wait to see what Amway Global comes up with next!

One question: Will Amway Global sponsor something like this for the under 35ish crowd? Those under 35 don't seem to know who Tina Turner is.

We know who she is, but agreeably, a more current figure would be a great addition to Amway Global's efforts of sponsorship to increase awareness.

Any 20 somethings have any suggestions?

It would have to be someone respected by all, known by most, and appeals to the "younger " crowds.

there's a need for relationships with the next generation of customer.  Take for example the DHA gummies direct response spot--who is that targeted towards?  Young Moms.  Our myspace banners, our yahoo.com, foxnews...?  20-30-somethings.   But Tina is going for 40's+.  I feeling a disconnect.  Quoted from the press release: "This is yet another investment, like our advertising program, in building our brands to support IBO recruiting and retailing efforts."

What's the fastest growing segment for people being sponsered?  I thought others have said early 20's.

Overall, I love what the company is doing!  Just adding a few thoughts to keep the dialogue going.  I love my biz!

I agree with TWS.  Great idea to promote the Amway Global brand.  I think it will shock people to see the name attached.  She should be provided  Double X to take while she's on tour!!  I saw our ad during Family Guy the other night on late night TV.  So I say Good Job at getting the brand out to people of all ages!!

Go AMWAY Go!

In a world of a bunch of blind mind society, it's tough to lead them. But there will be a miracle to hit on their head and they will say: Oh! Now, I get it.

As I understood that, AMWAY tried to protect people to fall down into the black hole deeper.

That is the Truth of being AMWAY IBO.

Love from BEV

Tina Turner is a great icon of Amercan music and it's a good thing that Amway Global (not Globule) is sponsoring her tour.

As for a 20 something sponsorship, I haven't seen anyone that impresses me from an integrity standpoint.  Although, the younger generation (mid-teens) will be twenty-something before we know it:  how about Hannah Montana?

That is fantastic news for us distributors here in Japan.   What a wonderful partnership!  Congratulations to both Amway and Tina.  Any possibility of her touring this country as well?

Warmest wishes,

Tina Turner is a true professional.  This probably will be her last tour.  She lives in southern France and she does not need the money.  She will not embarass herself or Amway Global.  She is a great first step into the music scene for this company.  She will have a great impact on some of the older folks who may have a less than favorable opinion of what they think this business.  This is a great move and congratulations to whoever pulled this off.

For people who are  the survivors of the wife abused victim list or workers who are helping the victim of wife abused, Tina Turner tour is providing the missing ingredient in their life. I can say She is Real Diamond, I hope I can sponsor her under my IBO number or show QI before Dexter did.

I am confident with Amway decision, the people who have made the right decision will be invited to Amway Promise Land. Just hang in there! From my retired Emerald upline Dan and Linda Millers.
